How to Type With a Virtual Keyboard

Tired of typing? Or just wanting to give your fingers little rest? Use a virtual keyboard. It is very easy to use; just point your mouse and it will type for you. You can use this command in Windows XP, 2000 and 7 (You will need to check out whether this can be done in other versions of Windows).

Steps:

1. Type in the following

  • Start → Run type osk and <enter>

  • Can you see "Keyboard" appear on the screen?

2. Open the word processor or wherever you want to type. "Keyboard" is in the top of other applications.

3. Just click on the keys or change settings to type by hovering on the keys.

Tips

  • If you don't even want to type osk, use your mouse to navigate to...
All Programs → Accessories →          Accessibility → On-Screen KeyBoard
.....It works the same.
  • There are some free versions of virtual keyboards around. One is by Milosoft So, if your Windows doesn't have "osk" command, download the free versions.

Warnings

If you have a keylogger running on your computer, the Windows OSK will not prevent your passwords from being stolen.
